The electronic air purification system SMK 3.1 designed by COSDEP is the latest development from the company’s own long tested and consolidated products and PATENTS. This system is the ideal, indispensable solution for the elimination of workplace fume and dust emissions. Specifically, the electrostatic filtering system, combined with the activated carbon filters at the purifier outlet, acts directly where the welding fumes, gases and processing dust originate.
1st PHASE: Dirty air is drawn in by the centrifugal fan, electronically controlled and channelled through the adjustable hood.
2nd PHASE: Electrostatic filtration: the polluting particulates of up to 1 micron in size are ionized within the electrostatic field of the filter and collected by the negative plates.
3rd PHASE: Filtration of the residual GASES: the purified air is further filtered through a pleated activated carbon filter that captures the fumes contained in the air. The clean air is then returned to the workplace at the same temperature as the incoming air.
The SMK GAS activated carbon purification system, designed by COSDEP, is the ideal, indispensable solution for the elimination of workplace gases and odors. SMK GAS primarily uses the “ABSORBING” characteristics of the activated carbon filter installed in the system. To make full use of these characteristics the filter is preceded by a metal pre-filter that removes dust from the air. This ensures that the air reaching the activated carbon filter is almost completely free of macroscopic impurities that would considerably shorten the “average life” of the activated carbon.

2nd PHASE: The polluting particles are partly filtered from the air by the pre-filter and then the air is further filtered by an activated carbon filter that captures all the gases and odors contained in it. N.B.: For optimal performance of the 5 kg of activated carbon contained in the filter and to enable excellent deodorization, the air passing through the filter should not exceed a rate of 0.2 m/s.
3rd PHASE: The purified and deodorized air is returned to the workplace at the same temperature as the incoming air.
Direct extraction of fumes, dust, gases and odours through an adjustable swivel hood and a self-supporting flexible hose.
