This page provides information concerning the data generated by the PROMETEO system and its related services in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (“Data Act”).
PROMETEO is a connectivity gateway that enables a compatible pellet stove to connect remotely via Wi-Fi and to be operated through the PROMETEO App and, where activated, subscription-based Cloud services.
PROMETEO acquires technical operating data from the connected pellet stove.
Such data may include, for example:
The type and number of available data points may vary depending on the model and configuration of the connected stove.
Data transmitted between PROMETEO and the remote service are digitally structured and mainly use JSON format.
Remote communications use protected communication protocols.
When PROMETEO is used exclusively through the App without a subscription-based Cloud service, no periodic collection of stove data is performed for the purpose of creating historical records.
Data are mainly transmitted when the user interacts with the App, for example when:
The amount of data transmitted therefore depends on the number of user interactions.
A typical individual interaction generates less than 1 kB of application data.
When a subscription-based Cloud service is active, in addition to the data required for normal App operation, PROMETEO automatically transmits technical data used to create an operating history of the stove.
Under normal conditions of use, the estimated average amount of transmitted data is less than 100 kB per day per device.
The indicative transmission frequency for status data is:
Significant changes in monitored values, such as temperatures, operating status, motor RPM, errors or other operating conditions, may result in additional transmissions.
Other data, including parameters, configurations and timers, are transmitted depending on detected changes and the timing rules implemented by the system.
The actual volume may therefore vary depending on stove operating time, changes in operating parameters and use of the App.
When only the App service is used, the technical stove data required for operation of the service may transit through the system but are not stored in the Cloud as historical stove data.
Historical stove data are therefore not available for subsequent retrieval.
Where a subscription-based Cloud service is active, in accordance with the applicable service contract, technical stove data intended for historical analysis are stored in the Cloud for a maximum period of 90 days.
Older data are deleted in accordance with the retention policy applicable to the service.
Through the PROMETEO App, users can view the current data made available by their device according to the features of the connected stove.
Where a subscription-based Cloud service is active, users may also access the historical-data functions included in the subscribed service.
Users may request, free of charge, a copy of the available data associated with their PROMETEO device.
Where only the App is used, no historical stove data are retained. Therefore, only data actually available at the time of the request may be provided.
Where a subscription-based Cloud service is active, historical data still falling within the 90-day retention period may be made available.

PROMETEO data access request – EU Data Act
In order to verify the request, the user may be asked to provide:
Knowledge of the device identification code alone is not sufficient evidence of entitlement to access the device data.
Available data may be provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, such as CSV or JSON.
Where provided for by Regulation (EU) 2023/2854, the user may request that available data relating to their connected product be made available to a third party designated by the user.
Such requests will be processed after verifying the identity of the requester, the requester’s entitlement to access the data and the conditions established by the applicable legislation.
Operational product data normally made available to the user, such as temperatures, operating states, RPM values, setpoints, errors and events, are not identified as DUEPI trade secrets.
Information concerning firmware, software, algorithms, proprietary control logic or other confidential technical know-how is not part of the operational data made available to the user.
Where specific data contain information protected as a trade secret of DUEPI or of a third party, the safeguards required by applicable legislation will apply.
Use of the PROMETEO App without subscription-based Cloud services is provided without a recurring subscription charge and does not involve a paid subscription agreement with a predetermined duration.
Any subscription-based Cloud services are governed by a specific service agreement defining:
The Data Act governs access to and use of data generated by connected products and related services.
Where the data concerned are personal data, the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) also continue to apply.
